August 2010 saw the culmination of nearly 5 months work at the World Expo in Shanghai.
Myself and an international team collaborated to bring Irish Mythology to the world stage by adapting an old Irish favourite ‘Tír na nÓg‘ (which means Land of Youth) for exhibition in the Irish Pavilion. Members of the team were Catherine Sullivan (People’s Republic of Cork), Ciarán Griffin (People’s Republic of Cork), Feng Jing (People’s Republic of China), Aoife Corcoran (People’s Republic of Cork) & Olga Minaeva (Russian Federation). For more details on these guys please check out our collaborative website Red Sp¡re Media
This exhibition was made possible thanks to sponsorship from Cork City Council and the support of Mr. Pat Ledgwidge. The exhibition ran for 3 weeks in August and is now due to be donated to a highschool in Luwan District in Shanghai, Cork’s sister city.
